Memorials at

Nene Valley Crematorium

Historically, final resting places for ashes have provided a focal point for people who visit to pay their respects to loved ones, with this resting place often complemented by a fitting memorial. It is known to provide comfort for bereaved people when remembering and commemorating those who have died.

Our vision for the future landscaping of the crematorium grounds is to create a peaceful and tranquil Garden of Remembrance, and to produce easily identifiable individual memorial gardens within this Garden of Remembrance. As a result, there will be gardens

within a garden for all to enjoy.

Note: The landscaping will be implemented via a phased approach. In the interim of completing our vision the following memorials are currently available.

Book of Remembrance

The Book of Remembrance is a permanent significant record

which provides a wonderful memory for many generations to come to refer to.

Each day of the year the page is turned so that every year the entry is displayed on a special anniversary. This could be the date the person died, their birthday, or perhaps another significant date.

A digital version of the traditional book is now available.

Digital Book of Rememberance
Anniversary Garden

This was Nene Valley Crematorium’s first memorial garden and was opened 19th September 2017 by the former The worshipful The Mayor of Wellingborough Councillor Paul Bell.

The Anniversary Garden’s scattering lawn is sectioned into days of the year, providing a special recording date when laying your loved one to rest.

There are several memorials available on a lease basis, which are situated around the scattering lawn, these include a Special Anniversary Rose - Dappled Willow Trees, both include a beautiful granite marker, with plaque for inscribing - Interring Vaults - Granite Seats - and Pillars, all also include a granite plaque, which can be personalised with images (to complement an inscription) to reflect a loved one’s character.

Some of the above images are for illustration purposes only

Wendelburie Garden

This is the second memorial garden which was officially opened on 19 September 2019 by the former The worshipful The Mayor of Wellingborough Councillor Joanne Beirne.
